Coenzyme Q-10 is also referred to as Ubiquinone from the word "ubiquitous" because it is found in all cells of the body. It is a member of the quinone family which is related to Vitamin K. Every form of life contains some form of Coenzyme Q and most mammal cells contain Coenzyme Q-10. Coenzyme Q-10 synthesizes a substance called adenosine triphosphate (ATP) in the mitochondria of the cell, which is the cell's basic energy molecule.
